Speckled Swan gourd (also called Speckled Swan bottle gourd) is a unique heirloom gourd grown mostly for decorative use—but it’s edible when young.

🦢 What It Looks Like

• Shaped like a graceful swan:

  • Long curved “neck”

  • Rounded base (body)

• Light green skin with white speckles

• Can grow quite large if left to mature

🌱 Growth & Gardening

• A warm-season vine (like squash or pumpkins)

• Needs:

  • Full sun ☀️

  • Plenty of space or a trellis (encourages the swan neck shape)

• Takes 80–110 days to mature

• Produces long trailing vines

🍽️ Edibility
